'No Essien deal with Chelsea' - Lyon
LYON, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Olympique Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas said on Monday Michael Essien would definitely not go to Chelsea and there would be no new meeting with Roman Abramovich.
'The Essien case is closed and he will remain at Lyon,' Aulas told the club's website.
'England have won the Olympics but Chelsea will not get Michael Essien,' he added, referring to London's victory over Paris in the race for the 2012 Games.(似乎仲對奧運一事懷恨在心...:icon101:)
Aulas was expected to meet Chelsea owner Abramovich on Tuesday but he said on Monday that he would not.
'There will be no new meeting involving myself,' he said.
Aulas had said earlier that Chelsea had underestimated the French champions in their pursuit of the Ghana midfielder.
'They thought we were just country bumpkins with our berets and a baguette in our pockets. That's not the way it works at Lyon,' Aulas told reporters.
Lyon have valued the 22-year-old at 45 million euros ($55.74 million).
Aulas said on Sunday the French club had rejected the latest offer from Chelsea, said by Lyon sources to be 38 million euros plus their Portugal midfielder Tiago, and had closed the door on negotiations
He later said the door was still open if the price was met.
Essien, last season's Ligue 1 Player of the Year, was left out of Gerard Houllier's team that beat Racing Strasbourg 1-0 on Sunday and has not played an official match for Lyon this season. He has said he wants to go to Chelsea.
Aulas said he had not informed Essien of his decision to end negotiations.
'I did not let him know. But he did not tell me anything when he negotiated with Chelsea behind my back,' he said.:icon124::icon101:
However, Aulas believes Essien will do his best for Lyon.
'Maybe it's going to take him a week, maybe a little bit longer but one knows that when a dream does not come true, one is quickly back down on earth,' he said.

里昂主席歐拉斯指車路士收購艾辛失敗，該名中場將會留隊效力。
歐拉斯原先將於周二與車路士班主艾巴莫域治會面，不過歐拉斯指現已無計劃與「油王」見面。
「艾辛交易商談已完結，他將會留在里昂。」歐拉斯對里昂官方網站表示。
「也許英格蘭是勝出了奧運主辦權，不過車路士不會得到艾辛的。」
歐拉斯重申車路士已開出了三千一百萬鎊的價錢，不過卻對該支超聯冠軍看輕了今次交易感到不快。
「車路士以為我們拿著法國麵包的土包子，但事實上不是。」歐拉斯道。
車路上對上一次出價估計為二千一百萬鎊加上泰亞高作交換條件。
「或許艾辛需要一星期或更長時間去調整心情，當你知道夢想不能實現時，將會盡快返回現實。」
「他在這裡也不是不開心，里昂是一間大球會，他也有一份相當不錯的合約，人生中有更多不如意的事。」
