Inter ponder Marchionni move

Inter have entered the race to sign Parma winger Marco Marchionni in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
Although Nerazzurri chief Massimo Moratti hinted yesterday that any new arrival would be foreign, it now appears that the former Under-21 international is being targeted by the Milan side.
Marchionni, who has also attracted the interest of Palermo, has been top of Fiorentina’s shopping list for some time, but now it seems that the Viola must do battle with Inter for the services of the 25-year-old.
The midfielder has been a player Inter Coach Roberto Mancini has admired since his Empoli days and, having turned down an offer to remain with the Ducali, he now seems certain to be sold before he leaves on a free in the summer.
