El Arsenal sigue de cerca la evolución de una de sus joyas más preciadas, Carlos Vela. Richard Law, técnico del club británico para la zona de hispano américa, se ha desplazado a Salamanca para observar el entrenamiento del equipo unionista y hablar con el delantero mexicano, para conocer de primera mano cómo se encuentra en el club charro. Si hace unas jornadas fue Steve Rowley quien estuvo en Salamanca, ahora lo hace Law. El Arsenal está muy satisfecho con la evolución del joven talento en el Salamanca. Además, a la conclusión del entrenamiento matinal, el técnico unionista, Javi López, mantuvo una conversación con Carlos Vela por espacio de cinco minutos, aunque el entrenador no quiso darle mayor importancia.

Liverpool are waiting to discover precisely how long Momo Sissoko will be on the sidelines after the Malian underwent surgery.
Initial indications were that the 21-year-old midfielder would be out for three months, though this could change depending on how the operation went.
"Momo had the operation yesterday," Benitez said.
"The doctors said it was very successful, but now we must wait. We know we will be without Momo for some time, but maybe we'll know more in a few days exactly how long it will be." Liverpool will be without Luis Garcia for the trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday, though Rafael Benitez has no fresh injury worries following the international break.
Garcia, who hasn't played since the visit of Bordeaux on October 18, was described as "almost fit" by his manager.

Manager Rafael Benitez has deployed Gerrard on the right flank, prompting
reports of a rift between the pair.
Bolo Zenden was preferred in central midfield in the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal,
even with Momo Sissoko out injured.
But Gerrard said ahead of the match at Middlesbrough: "I spoke with Benitez
and he said I would get a lot more time in the middle now Sissoko is out."
Gerrard also figured in the centre in England's 1-1 draw against Holland in
Amsterdam.
He then took the opportunity to stress his preference for the centre rather
than on the right flank, a move by Benitez that has been a source of debate
as Liverpool have struggled in the Premiership.
Gerrard said: "I always enjoy it there in the middle. That's where I feel I
can get the best out of myself.
"The formation worked and the positive thing is we know we can use another
formation now with 4-3-3 as well as 4-4-2.
"We need to build on this performance for the next qualifier."
