Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recommended Cardiff City's latest signing to Dave Jones.
Italian striker Andreas Ferretti is a friend of Red Devils prospect Giuseppe Rossi and was keen to make a move to England this summer.
After impressing on trial, the Parma youngster has signed a two-year contract with the Championship side.
"Andreas looked good on tour," Jones told The South Wales Echo. "He certainly has something.
"He has now signed.
"It's all done and dusted."
The 18-year-old was offered to Ferguson who contacted Jones to inform him of the youngster's availability.
Jones has also been running the rule over former United man Philip Mulryne. |
