West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of an exclusive Technical partnership with UMBRO in an initial three-year deal.
The UK-based company, who are recognised worldwide as manufacturers of the England national team kit, will be the exclusive supplier of the Club's playing and training kit for the 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons.
West Ham United Chairman Eggert Magnusson says: "I am delighted to welcome UMBRO to West Ham United as our new Technical partner. We have worked very hard to find the right brand to match our ambition as a football club and believe that UMBRO will provide the perfect solution for all of our technical requirements.
"The deal is an exclusive agreement which means that only West Ham United club stores and whufc.com will stock the Club's official UMBRO merchandise.
"Like West Ham United, UMBRO has a rich heritage and history in the game but is also committed to an exciting and innovative future, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership between the two parties here at Upton Park."
UMBRO's Director of Football, Simon Marsh, pictured above at today's press announcement with Matthew Upson, Alan Curbishley and Mark Noble said "It is with great pleasure that we have now added West Ham United to our international portfolio of contracted teams.
"In the past 18 months we have worked hard to implement our strategy of creating geographical representation within the United Kingdom and to add West Ham United is fantastic news for the brand. They are also one of the few clubs who we have never had the privilege of working alongside in the past.
"It was evident from the outset that both parties had a desire to work together and I'm therefore delighted that this was achieved for an initial three year period. UMBRO hope this will be a platform for the Club to go on to achieve greater success both on and off the field of play."
