Hammers eye ￡4million Kieran
WEST HAM will launch a ￡4million bid for winger Kieran Richardson.
England ace Richardson is surplus to requirements at Manchester United following the signing of ￡14m Nani.
And Hammers boss Alan Curbishley is ready to slug it out with Everton for the player.
Richardson, 22, started his career with West Ham but was snapped up by United before he turned professional in 2002.
But he has never been a first-team regular at Old Trafford despite scoring twice on his England debut two years ago and winning eight caps so far.
He has managed just 20 Premiership starts for United since making his debut five years ago and has spent most of his time on the bench.
In January 2005, he was loaned to West Brom for six months — but rejected a further spell at The Hawthorns to fight for his dream of becoming a star at United.
With Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Ryan Giggs and Park Ji-Sung ahead of him for a place on the left wing, Richardson realises he has to move on.
West Ham have already agreed a ￡7million fee for Newcastle skipper Scott Parker.
Hammers will also revive their interest in Shaun Wright-Phillips — with a second ￡10m bid for the Chelsea winger.
The England star turned down a move to Upton Park in January, fearing the club were doomed to relegation.
Andy Cole, 35, is also a shock target for the East Londoners from Portsmouth.
Curbs is also after Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia.
