    I'm glad to inform that there is a serious progress in FM Genie Scout development. It is confirmed that the first version will come out on Sunday. This release will be a bit plain, as a great amount of work is connected to the new FM features adaptation (staff rating, changes of potential rating etc.).

    As of now, the load process is partly completed, but there is still work left as the base has suffered serious changes. The Scout is developed and tested for the last (at the moment) patch 8.0.1 beta 2. Thus I only guarantee the Scout to be compatible with this version. Of course, the program will be adapted to the new patch as soon as possible after it is released.

    We made the decision to refuse from using the standart skin because of its low level; as an alternative variant, Steklo from Tom Dixon was chosen (by the kind agreement of the author).

        In the nearest time, this site will be totally restored. I am informed about all the current problems, and when I have time, I will solve them.

    Attention! When the first beta of Scout is released, genie.fm users will be informed about that first. Scout stays freeware, so I do not advice you to download (and even more to pay for) something which is named Genie Scout from some unknown server. All of those which are in the Net now are FAKE.

    We will also open an account for donations, which will possibly help the Genie Scout development.

    Good day guys.

    I would like to inform you about some things in Scout. We welcome all the proposals for the program, but let us get it straight - Genie is a normal person, he works hard and has got just enough free time only for his personal business, forget about programming. He is on the edge of being ultra-tired, working only on the program itself, and adding various new features without any compensation is unfortunately over his strengths as of now. Please try to understand this - he does all he can in his will to help FM users, but he is still from flesh and bones...

    From the same type of problems: Eugene gets a great lot of e-mails every day, and he does not have time to answer everyone. He still tries to, though.

    He would like to thank all patient people who are waiting peacefully. Without you it would make no sense for the Scout to be done. Great thanks also goes to those who wish to help the project. People make generous offers, even offering help with the hosting. It is for these categories we work on FM Genie Scout, and I would like to say they will be rewarded soon. As... get ready...

    FM Genie Scout 2008 is getting its first release prior to next Sunday, 18.11!

    This is possibly the final date, and it should not be changed if nothing extraordinary happens. So please do wait - it's only a little bit to the moment when you will open the familiar Scout program for the new edition of our favourite game...

We have yet more exclusive news for the forthcoming FM Genie Scout 2008!

Translating what Eugene said:

"The release of Scout is not postponed, but for the moment I cannot name a date that it will take place. I can only say one thing - it is closer than ever. In addition, the Scout will be compatible with any version of the game."

As far as the new server is concerned, we do hope that everything will be sorted out early next week.

Slightly bad news

Unfortunately, despite all the efforts, the work under the first Scout beta
is not yet finished. I spent all the week-end, trying to keep my word and
try to launch the first release to the time set. But the specifics of this
work is such that it is impossible to predict certain episodes taking place,
and because of them many unexpected problems occur, and it takes a fair
amount of time to solve them. So I say sorry to all the people who expected
the Scout to come out in the passed week-end, and I will try my best to
complete the first version of the Scout in the nearest couple of days. I'm
not going to tell deadlines now so that people won't feel like being
cheated. In the last days a great margin of work has been done, but the
program is still too undeveloped to make it avalible for. On this stage,
most of the people would not be able to use it at all. But the progress is
still really nice, and I give you the proof:

his Steklo skin). I would also like to declare that I'll try my best to make
the program compatible with every version of FM 2008.
