Transfer Price Estimate
Today, we are pleased to introduce a feature that has been requested by many users. On each of your own player pages, and on the pages of each player on the transfer list, you will now find a transfer value estimate.
The players of BuzzerBeater are extremely multidimensional, and no two players are exactly alike in skills, let alone height, age, and potential . Every manager has their own sense of the game, and their own methods for evaluating players. This tool is not meant replace that. It is merely intended to provide a rough summary of the prices that similar players have been selling for in recent weeks.
The Transfer Price Estimate should be useful for BuzzerBeater managers, but it is especially designed to help our newest managers who often feel overwhelmed by the transfer market. We hope that it is straightforward and easy to use. Nevertheless, here are a few things to keep in mind:
*The estimate is only an interpretation of current market prices, and not a measure of a player's value on the court.
*Prices are changing all the time as the market evolves and matures. Because the estimate is based only on sales from the previous few weeks, it is likely to change from day to day. A player who is worthless today may be valuable tomorrow, and vice versa.
*The estimate is stronger when it is based on a larger number of similar players. Estimates based on a small number of similar players should be used at your own risk.
*No estimate is shown when there has been fewer than 5 recent transfers of similar players. This is the case for about 10% of all players on human teams, and most frequently occurs in the case of exceptionally skilled players, players with unusual skill combinations, and players with uncommon levels of potential. Buzzerbeater's world-class teams, in particular, may find that many of their players are beyond comparison.
