can't open FM2009 (windows vista)

i am using window vista, but i have problem opening FM 2009.  whenever i clicked on the icon, i got the following error message:

fm.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\system32\d3x9_37.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.  Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

then another winodw will popped up telling me WIndows is closing down FM 2009.


anyone has this problem?  i used to install FM 2009 on windows XP, and i had no problem.
