MIKE ASHLEY is ready to sell Newcastle by the end of next week.
Former Toon boss Kevin Keegan last week won his £2million claim for
constructive dismissal - paving the way for Ashley's long-awaited exit.
Tyneside businessman Barry Moat heads the race for a £100m Newcastle
take-over.
And that could lead to Alan Shearer becoming permanent manager.
But Chris Hughton is likely to stay in charge during the transition after
guiding newly-relegated Toon to the top of the Championship.
Ashley, who paid £139m for Newcastle in 2007, has been unpopular with fans
since Keegan's exit last year.
Now the only question mark is whether Moat - or the two other groups in the
running - will offer Ashley enough money.
