trip hop 其實係受hip hop influence
downtempo , 夾雜左house , breakbeat 等音樂元素加上ambient , 營造出一個UK VERSION 既 HIP HOP 咁 , 冇HIP HOP 根本唔會出現TRIP HOP。就好似POST PUNK 同GOTHIC 既關係一樣,不可分割!!

It was only later when Massive Attack released their deput album in 1991 followed by Portishead in 1994 that a new "trip-hop" style (coined by the English music press) was recognized.
