Wins for game is the most important. But it is hard to say that 1-0 is enough or more goals is good.

For example, if we play ffor Euro cup quarter final. The first round home game. I will try my best to attack for more goals. It is to prevent the opponent wins in away game. For League, the meaning of 1-0 and 10-0 are just the same. 3 points will be obtained.

Depends on which team you are against and the situation of the match
if you are away against rival teams,you should expect 3-3 result or your team would win 2-0,referring to you are heading or being headed and the ball possesion at the beginning of the match,
If being led,of course I would want to decrease the goal conceded.
If I'm heading,of course I would like to increase the number of goals.
