Michael Jackson Cleared of All Charges

The jury in the Michael Jackson child sex abuse trial has pronounced the pop
star not guilty on all ten charges brought against him.
The verdict was delivered to the California court in the presence of
Jackson's family, relatives and friends and under the screams of scores of
fans of the legendary singer.
The jury, which listened to 14 weeks of evidence, deliberated for more than
six days to send the word of a verdict late on Monday.
Michael Jackson denied ten charges, including allegedly molesting a
13-year-old boy. Other charges on include giving the boy alcohol and
conspiracy to kidnap him and his family.
His trial began in February in Santa Maria, California, and the jury retired
to consider its verdict on 3 June.
More than 100 witnesses took the stand including Jackson's accuser Gavin
Arvizo and his mother Janet. |
