The target of the programme is to provide students with a firm foundation in chemical sciences and specialization in analytical, industrial or environmental chemistry. Students are expected to develop the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes required for their personal development and future careers. Students will study fundamental chemistry courses including Analytical, Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. Elective courses including Instrumental Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Biochemistry, Photochemistry, Food Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Industrial Chemistry are also available. Graduates can seek employment in various government departments, consultancy companies, laboratories, commercial, industrial, or educational sectors, or they can further pursue postgraduate studies.
