Sorry that I type English much faster than Chinese characters.
Red highlighted: The Reebok 5-stars 2005-06 home shirt and the Adidas green/white 2006-07 third shirts are BOTH marketed as "UEFA Champions League" shirts by the corresponding manufacturers. There exists no differences between the Reebok one and the Adidas one. Thus you cannot guesstimate that "Oh, the Reebok 5-stars shirt is a MUST for CL games, but not exactly so for the Adidas green/white". I don't see any rationale for such a conclusion.
Green highlighted: The Reebok 5-stars shirt is NOT by default coming with the Liverpool Exclusive darker blue Champions League patches. No matter you buy the shirt from Hong Kong or UK, you need to pay out extra money to get the patches. You may still remember last year all the patches are kept by Chris Kay Hong Kong distributor and shopkeepers need to send the shirts for the badging work at Yuen Long. NOT every shirt is already badged up with the patches.
Purple highlighted: Don't compare Liverpool directly with the class of AC Milan or Real Madrid UEFA shirts made by Adidas. Do you know about the exclusiveness of Liverpool darker blue oval 5-times patch? The darker patch is TAILOR-MADE for Liverpool only - the colour of darker blue is adopted because Liverpool cannot accept any slight piece of sky-blue colour (the rival Everton strip) on any part of the shirt. Lextra especially manufactured limited quantity of these darker-blue oval 5-times patches as "Liverpool Exclusive" products. With the scarcity and an elastic demand, the price is not as cheap as the sky-blue ones for AC and RM. The absence of the oval-5-times patch on commercially sold Liverpool shirts is rather due to the higher costs.
If you mean about the 5-stars on the CL shirts of 2005-06 but not on 2006-07, it's rather the design issue that Liverpool doesn't adopt any CL stars for this season. It's just like the case of Man Utd adopting 1 star for CL 1997-1999 and 2 stars for CL 1999-2000 only, but not otherwise seasons.
Blue highlighted: The speculation of using the green/white kits in non-CL competitions seems to stem from the appearance of green/white shirts in the pre-season matches. I rather think the exposure in the pre-season only aims to promote a third kit in the market. This is just like the case of Man Utd adopting the gold centenary kit in a Thailand pre-season match but afterwards only in the case of kits colour-clash - CL away against Olympiakos, League Cup tie against Arsenal. The purpose and usage of third shirt is always NOT to achieve a balance of use of away and third shirts in the whole season. The sole and dominant purpose is always set to use a third kit in case of colour clash (just like the use of green Carlsberg can 1999-2000 Liverpool away shirt in an EPL match of 2000-01 season - the Bradford City away match played on 1 May 2001).

Brown highlighted: As aforesaid, the purpose of a third kit is to avoid colour clash embarassment when both the home and away kit are unable to be used. It is NOT by default Liverpool will wear the green/white CL kit in ALL CL away matches. The use of yellow away CL shirt in the PSV match is a good example. Without clashing red and yellow, there's no need to adopt the green/white kit.
A final example is the Liverpool 1988-1989 third full-white shirt. This was a ONE-OFF shirt only worn against Aston Villa (whose strips rather like the Denmark Euro Winners shirt by Hummel, with halves and red/grey stripped pattern). Villa's kit completely clashed with Liverpool's red home and grey away. So would Liverpool try to utilise the third full-white kit in otherwise matches so as to gain "exposure" to that shirt? The answer is NO.
