我以前都試過 s/l
但 load 完就算羸咗都會唔開心
所以以後都係輸咗就算

but sometimes won't you think that when you meet a tricky opponent, you really want to figure out a tactic that will help you to beat them?  For example I remember in one FM I always lost to Aston Villa using Man Utd, and I tried the load-save method.  I did this was not because I couldn't accept losing; it's because I wanted to work out how the heck I could beat this team!

如果純粹係為試陣而s/l,我覺得冇問題.
最重要係用既態度.

I know I get what you mean , but 'knowing why I lose' and 'knowing how to exactly improve my performance' are different.  I know my Man Utd defense somehow just couldn't stop Baros, but how can I actually make the changes that stop him? (Set offside? Closing him down all the time? Not closing down? Zone or Man marking?)  I don't about you guys but I do find it a great pleasure when I finally work out how to improve (or I shall say how to have a upper-hand against this team as against Villa this works but as another team I may need a complete different tactic)(of course I'm not save-loading to chase after some '-6' lucky 1-0 win so that I can maintain my winning row or unbeaten record)

And another thing is I can understand why people want to use s/l.  At the end of the day it's just a game and it's a fantasy away from reality.  People get depressed in real life and they want to feel sucessful in some way, which some of them choose to use CM/FM to do so.  I mean everyone has their own way of playing.  Some people they play CM/FM but don't s/l and just go on and play matches.  The results of the matches become like a lucky draw to them: they thrash a rival 4-0 and dunno y and they lost to a weak team 0-2 and still dunno y.  Sometimes they get 'de-motivated'.

Another thing is in life you dun get 'take-2', but in games you do; that's why sometimes we love game so much, as we can experience the feeling of re-taking something, to figure out how things would be different if I make such a change.  In a way it can be like a challenge; trying to see how you can get this and that.

At the end of the day, I think as long as people can find a way to enjoy this game, then let the enjoy it.  Some people find pleasure in being the richest club; some people find pleasure in signing star players or players they like in real life; some people just like to play and see how long they can play one save till they get bored!  Personally the few things that Im against are adding manager to get the players/money you want and editing the players profile as I see these as cheating (not putting an effort to figure out how to suceed on your own).  S/L is just a very common thing in games: when poeple play Max Payne if they don't save the game then it will have to be a great coincidence for me to complete the game without dying; when people play and very similar in other games.  As long as you feel that you are enjoying the game (surely cheaing won't bring you real pleasure), then it's fine.

I agree. There is no need to judge those who use S/L. It's just their way of playing the game. Playing games is about having fun. If someone thinks he can have fun through S/L, it is totally understandable to me. People S/L in other games as well, sometimes because game over and sometimes because they want to get better results.

I personally don't do S/L to replay matches, even when I lost Premiership, FA Cup and Champions League in 4 stupid 0-1 matches, and became "four big empty" at the end of the season. The defeats actually let me know that I need to improve my defense. So now, in the second season, I am sitting comfortably at the top, scoring the most and conceding the least.

However, I've used S/L once in order to get a American feeder club.
