Newcastle keeper Shay Given (groin) is struggling to make the side so Pavel Srnicek is on stand-by and Tim Krul has been recalled from his Christmas break.
Damien Duff (knee) could return, but seven first-team players remain on the sidelines for the in-form Magpies.

Wayne Rooney was left out of the starting line-up against Aston Villa because of a family bereavement but could return against Wigan.

Michael Carrick (ankle) is out but he could return for the next game.

Wigan boss Paul Jewell has no fresh injury worries to contend with, but he is still without seven players.

Henri Camara, Andy Webster, Antonio Valencia, Paul Scharner, Steve McMillan and Ryan Taylor are injured, while Lee McCulloch is suspended.

睇完我地場波 ,都幾唔掂下
人地又係有d 必有chance ,但又射高左
加歷查 食左屎  條後防今年真係好多膠野
比拿美D Finishing 古治無入波 ,開快車係時候比crouch 玩玩
Pennant 近排表現明顯回升 ,

不過咁打後 ,之後對保頓 /Spurs睇黎都難免失分
