Carrick back for Reading clash
Michael Carrick will be restored to United's midfield on Saturday when Sir Alex Ferguson freshens up his team again for the visit of Reading.
Two changes are forced - Paul Scholes and Nemanja Vidic will serve the one-match suspensions held over from Villa Park - but there may be others as the boss makes the best use of his now fully fit squad.
"Obviously Scholes and Vida are out tomorrow, but everyone else is fit," said Sir Alex.
"There'll be some changes - those we made on Tuesday worked well for us and hopefully they'll work well for us again tomorrow. Michael Carrick's fit, he'll replace Scholes."
The boss is also fit, ahead of his 65th birthday on Sunday - New Year's Eve.
"I feel fine, I feel good, I feel fresh... as you can be at this time of year!"
Sir Alex revealed that, despite his advancing years, he's still one of the first people to arrive for work at United's training ground every day. A hard habit to break, it seems.
"I am up early every morning," he said. "Some mornings I wake up, watch the TV for an hour, then go back to sleep. But most days I get up between 6.30 and 6.45, then come straight into work.
"It is something I have done all my life. As a young boy, my dad used to get me up at 6, it just becomes a habit."
