Gael Clichy insists Arsenal are still in the title race, despite Saturday's
defeat to Sheffield United.
Clichy said: "I think that everyone is starting to believe in themselves and
the team. We have seen in the last five games that we have got the quality.
Nothing is impossible in football. It will be difficult to win the title but
we are looking forward to it and want to get as many points as we can in the
remaining games.
"We can't afford to lose points now. We have to try our best and make sure
we don't drop too many points for the rest of the season. When we get in
front, it is very difficult for anyone to beat us with the way we are
playing."
According to his manager, Arsene Wenger, Clichy has the potential to be just
as good as Ashley Cole after overcoming a series of injuries in the last two
seasons.
Clichy admits he is still some way off his former team-mate, but he does
harbour hopes of following in his footsteps and playing for his own country.
He added: "I am really enjoying it and I am pleased to be back. I hope my
injuries from last season are now behind me.
"If you compare me with Ashley Cole - I think he is one of the best
left-backs in the world. For me, he is the best at the moment.
"When you play football at a great club like Arsenal you want to be the
best. My first objective is to play the best football I can for the club and
to be known in England. The national team is just a bonus. But if I could
get in the French team it would be amazing."

Gilberto: We are missing Henry

Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva has conceded the side are missing Thierry
Henry.
Henry has missed Arsenal's last eight games as he struggles to shake off a
hamstring-related problem.
The Frenchman was badly missed in Saturday's defeat to Sheffield United and
Gilberto has admitted they are struggling without their skipper.
"It's important we get Thierry back," said Gilberto.
"We miss him. We know how important he is for the team because he's the
leader of the team.
"We've done the best we can without him but, of course, we need him up
front. I hope after the next game he will be back.
"We've a lot of important players injured. We try to do our best without
them, but sometimes it's hard.
"Our away form concerns us. The Champions League will be a fight because we
are close to each other - Arsenal, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Bolton."
