Welsh midfielder Davies swaps Everton for Fulham
Midfielder Simon Davies has completed a move from Everton to Fulham for an undisclosed fee.
The Welsh international, 27, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Chris Coleman's side after 18 months at Goodison Park.
The former Peterborough player joined the Toffees from Tottenham for £3.5million in the summer of 2005 and went on to make 53 appearances for the Merseyside club, scoring a solitary goal.
Davies told the official Fulham website: 'I'm really happy to have joined Fulham as Chris is a manager I know and admire very much, and I think the style of play that he has developed here will suit my game.
'I've wanted to come back to London for a while now so it's a good move for me, and I'm eager to train hard and contribute as much as I can to the rest of the season's campaign.'
Fellow Welshman Coleman added: 'I am delighted that we have eventually bought Simon to Fulham, as I think he will fit in really well here.
'Simon is a player I have admired for a long time and obviously I know him well because of the Welsh national team.
'He is a versatile player - he can play centre midfield, wide right and right back - so we have the option of utilising him in a number of positions.
'He is a very good passer of the ball with a great engine.
'He's at a good age and I think his best years are still to come, and I am confident that he will do well for us.'
