MILAN - F.C. Internazionale and Dejan Stankovic have reached an agreement to extend the Serbian midfielder's contract until 30 June 2010. "I want to thank president Moratti and all the managers who worked towards what myself and the club wanted," Stankovic said. "And I want to remember Giacinto Facchetti, who welcomed me when I arrived, and with whom I had and still have a special bond."
Stankovic, who signed his new deal at the club's Palazzo Durini headquarters, added: "I always said I was very calm about this renewal, because both I and Inter knew we wanted to continue together. I now want to share this satisfaction and happiness with all the people who love Inter, like me."
