Inter’s Adriano has finally put his personal crisis behind him. “Everyone goes through difficult times in their life,” he declared.
The Brazilian ended a nine-month goal drought in the match with Atalanta before the Christmas break and he’s been in great shape ever since.
“We all have difficult moments in our lives,” said the player who was heavily linked with a Nerazzurri exit last summer.
“I have left mine behind me thanks to the great help from President Massimo Moratti, my teammates and all the fans who always showed their love for me.
“The goal against Atalanta before Christmas was vital because I needed it to return to scoring. I broke the deadlock and now I want to continue to work for the team to do better and better.
“Inter are my home and family, so I will stay here for as long as possible. The first feeling that comes to my mind when I think of Inter is my love for this shirt and the people who respect it.”
Adriano, who will turn 25 on Saturday, scored an impressive goal in last weekend’s match with Chievo by unleashing a truly magnificent left-footed strike after only 45 seconds.
“I moved to the left and hit it with all my strength,” smiled the Emperor. “I have to say that it was a great goal.”
Inter will host Cagliari at the San Siro on Saturday, as they look for their 16th consecutive League win which would guarantee a place in the history books. |
