Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that Ousmane Dabo has reported Joey Barton for his alleged attack on him.

Barton was suspended by Manchester City for the rest of the season after clashing with Dabo during training - which left the Frenchman requiring hospital treatment.

Now Dabo is reported to have asked for police to press charges against team-mate Barton.

A spokeswoman for the police confirmed the incident was being investigated.

"Greater Manchester Police has received a report from a 30-year-old man that he was assaulted. Inquiries are ongoing," she said.
