Ligue 1 - Bordeaux chase Blanc

Ligue 1 - Bordeaux are set to offer former France international defender Laurent Blanc the manager's job at the Stade Chaban Delmas.
According to L'Equipe, the World Cup winner is being lined up to replace Brazilian Ricardo, who has agreed to leave Bordeaux for Monaco.
The former Manchester United, Internazionale, Barcelona and Marseille stopper has never managed a team but has enjoyed a number of coaching internships with Inter since retiring from playing in 2003 and is thought to be eager to make the step up.
The 41-year-old was linked with the Marseille job a year ago, but is believed to be on the verge of winning his first contract as a manager, with Les Girondins chairman Jean-Louis Triaud set to make an announcement on Wednesday.
Former Monaco coach Lazlo Boloni has also been contacted by Bordeaux, while Strasbourg's Jean-Pierre Papin, Libourne's Didier Tholot and a trio of free agents - Didier Deschamps, Jean Tigana and Jean-Marc Furlan - are also waiting in the wings.
