Fabio Capello admits retirement will be an option, if he is not kept on as Real Madrid coach.

Despite winning La Liga in his first season back at the Bernabeu, Capello's position as coach remains uncertain.

Current Getafe boss Bernd Schuster revealed on Monday that he expects to be in charge next season, while president Ramon Calderon has not confirmed the Italian will stay at the helm.

Capello is hoping he will still be with the newly-crowned champions, but will consider early retirement if he leaves the Spanish capital.

"If I had to leave, I would leave with my head held high," Capello told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The best teams already have a coach, so I could retire two years before I intended."

Reports suggest that Real directors will hold a meeting next Monday to discuss whether Capello will be afforded the chance to fulfil the final two years of his contract.

Dispensing with the former Juventus chief would cost Real in the region of €10million (£6.7million) and Capello acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his position.

He added: "We should ask him (Calderon) what is happening. I was brought here to win, we won and I believe I have done my duty.

"The possibility of me staying is like throwing a coin up in the air. I only know that I want to remain to win the Champions League.

"I have already booked my return flight to return to Madrid on 19th July because our pre-season starts the day after."

Quique Wins "War" At Valencia

Valencia has made a decision in reference to the "war" between Quique Flores-Amedeo and Carboni, with the manager coming out on top.

Valencia’s official website published an article that outlined they will be undertaking new policies, that would include the presentation of a new sporting director, and more importantly high quality reinforcements for next season.

During the season there were lots of incidents between the manager and the sporting director, and something had to be done before next season. Finally they went with Quique, and he will prepare the club’s new season along with their new sporting director, that is likely to be either Fernando Gomez Colomer or Toni Munoz.

The text came to a conclusion that Carboni’s time had ended, by stating:

“Likewise, and inside the politics of the club we will shortly announce the name of our new sporting director, who will reinforce and strengthen the sporting politics of Valencia…”

It is unknown whether Carboni will abandon the club, or continue in another role.

　　這次隨隊出訪的皇馬陣容相對完整，包括卡西利亞斯、拉莫斯、卡納瓦羅、勞爾等大牌球星悉數隨隊出征，范尼斯特魯伊和貝克漢姆等球星則因個人原因沒有隨隊一同前往。共有30000名球迷湧入球場歡迎「和平使者」皇馬的到來。
