Manchester City Football Club today mark the fourth anniversary of the tragic death of Marc-Vivien Foé.
The midfielder played 38 times for City in his season on loan from Lyon, scoring nine times, but passed away after collapsing on the pitch while playing for Cameroon.
Capped 64 times by his country, Marc also spent a season with West Ham United in the late 1990s. He was the last City player to score a goal at Maine Road, and as a mark of respect the number 23 shirt that he wore during his time at the Club was retired.
A true gentleman off the pitch, Marc is still fondly remembered by everyone that met him.
