A scorching day at Snake Pit, where 27850 spectators were in place for today's match. Earth started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Le Calve - Güney, Degn, Myran - Özkavalcıoğlu, Kah Hooi, Moe Moe, Freichel, Kuivas - Cabral, Rizzini.
Architectz decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Fernández - Fredriksen, Devic, Kwang Woo - Jin Hien, Gong, Cho, Han Bo, Romano - Vehkalahti, Lieverse.
Earth were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Earth had a good opportunity to take the lead as Beniamino Rizzini came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of Rodrigo Fernández. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to Beniamino Rizzini, but the Earth player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why Nikolaj Degn found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Earth's Alpay Güney putting the lead up to 2 - 0. Architectz's Dedo Devic refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 26th minute. The crowd roared its approval when Eric Le Calve somehow managed block what seemed to be a sure goal by Architectz's Tiemen Lieverse in the 37th minute. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Architectz dictated play, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
In the 56th minute, Zhong Jin Hien had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot hit the side of the goal. The visitors got one back when Tiemen Lieverse finished off a pass from the left and scored in the 70th minute. 2 - 1 was the score. Architectz's Zhong Jin Hien got himself booked for a foul. Earth were forced to a substitution as Guilherme Cabral couldn't continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Lucio de la Rosa to come in from the sidelines. Jing Kwang Woo finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 2 - 2 in the 78th minute. Earth's Roni Kuivas was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Architectz's Jae-Pyo Cho managed to lose the defenders as he came down the right side and scored, putting the visitors ahead, 2 - 3. A series of fine plays up the middle should have led to a goal for Earth, but Beniamino Rizzini's shot went over the bar. In the 88th minute, Earth's Zekeriya Özkavalcıoğlu received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. This half belonged to Earth, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
Eric Le Calve performed admirably for Earth. Lucio de la Rosa turned in a dismal performance, however. Architectz's best player was Jae-Pyo Cho. Rodrigo Fernández on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
