Jorge Andrade, after spending the night at the Fornaca clinic, underwent Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and X-ray tests to diagnose the left knee injury suffered in Rome.
These tests, carried out by Professor Carlo Faletti, showed that the patella bone is shattered. Therefore surgery will be needed to repair the bone and to review the condition of the kneecap tendon, which was operated on two years ago.
The above mentioned situation appears less serious than previously thought, but the player will still be unavailable for a long period of time.

Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are preparing for a January defender hunt after Jorge Andrade sustained a serious injury.
The Bianconeri’s battling 2-2 draw with Roma was marred by Andrade damaging tendons in his right knee.
There had already been question marks raised over whether the Old Lady had sufficient depth at the back and now they may find themselves putting too much pressure on youngster Domenico Criscito.
“Andrade has picked up a serious injury and we all wish him the best,” Juve President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli stated. “Before January we can work out whether we need to replace him.”
Most sources believe that Branislav Ivanovic is the likely replacement. The 23-year-old Serbian has impressed at Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s giants.
Lokomotiv have valued Brankovic at around £7m as he is under contract until 2011 and there may be something of a bidding war when the transfer window reopens.
Udinese’s Cristian Zapata is also reportedly on the shopping list. The Colombian stopper has been linked with Milan and Fiorentina in recent months and could fetch as much as £8m.
German giants Stuttgart warned Juventus off Portuguese defender Fernando Meira in the summer, but that may not prevent another bid.
The three outsiders to get the call to Turin are experienced trio Paolo Negro, ex-Juve man Mark Iuliano and ex-Azzurri star Luigi Di Biagio.
