The Club Owners Federation (COF) celebrated what they call "one of their biggest victories ever" last night after convincing the Player Union and the HFA to postpone the removing of the "age discount" for older players. This means older players will keep their lower salaries compared to their younger friends.
The HFA commented this agreement that it would not be fair to reduce the "age discount" now with the new substitution system being postponed, but also mentioned that this issue will at least be back on the table when a new sub system is in play.
