Fernando Torres is set to return for Liverpool, and Xabi Alonso could start, but Alvaro Arbeloa (thigh) is doubtful.
Striker Torres is fit again following a thigh injury, while midfielder Alonso was in the squad to face Besiktas after a foot problem but did not come on.
