Adriano to join Sao Paulo on loan from Inter

RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec 19 (Reuters) - Troubled Inter Milan striker Adriano is to join Sao Paulo on a six-month loan, the Brazilian champions said on Wednedsay.

'(Sao Paulo) concluded with Inter Milan the loan of striker Adriano until June 30, 2008,' the club said on their website.

The 25-year-old Brazilian, once the most feared striker in Serie A, has hardly featured for Inter in the last two seasons after battling fitness and reported alcohol problems.

The move came one month after the powerhouse striker began a fitness and psychological recovery programme at Sao Paulo's training centre.

He is the second big name to return to South American soccer looking to revive his career in the last month after Argentina's Boca Juniors re-signed Juan Roman Riquelme from Villarreal.

'I'm very happy with this deal,' Adriano was quoted as saying. 'Since my first day at the club, everyone has treated me very well.

'It will be an honour to win titles for this club. I'm going to work very hard for this and to return to the Brazil team.'

Adriano has played only one international since his much-criticised performance at the 2006 World Cup. Previously, he was regarded as having a safe place in the national side along with Robinho and Kaka.

Adriano was linked with a move away from the San Siro in the European close season but refused to go out on loan despite interest from former club Parma and Premier League West Ham United.

If all goes well, Adriano will lead the Sao Paulo attack in the South American Libertadores Cup, the region's equivalent of the Champions League, which will be held in the first half of next year.

Sao Paulo have won the Brazilian championship for the last two years, were Libertadores winners in 2005 and runners-up last year.

　　新浪體育訊　對於巴西人來說，節日是生活中不可缺少的一部分，巴西人喜歡聚會和娛樂，尤其是在聖誕節和新年這樣的重要日子裡，而對於阿德里亞諾來說，雖然被國米送到聖保羅「反省」但是，這個昔日的國王卻一點沒有改變自己喜歡折騰的性格。

　　雖然在剛剛返回聖保羅時，阿德表示要重新做人：「我認為人得從自己的錯誤中學到東西，我想在聖保羅東山再起。」不過，言猶在耳，阿德就把在國際米蘭的經歷忘了，當天回到里約過節的他一連兩晚出現在夜總會。

　　而如果說流連於夜總會還是小問題，那麼阿德昨晚在里約發生的事情就嚴重的多，阿德在公路上駕駛一輛奧迪TT飛馳，隨後阿德駕駛失控，汽車在撞到路邊的防護欄之後又和其他三輛汽車發生碰碰撞，不過對於阿德里亞諾來說，幸運的是他並沒有受傷，但是同樣對於阿德來說，壞消息是他又將成為第二天的報紙頭條新聞。

　　隨後聖保羅俱樂部公開表示，「我們不可能時時刻刻都在阿德身邊巡邏。阿德在休假，他還年輕，我認為他晚上出去也絕對正常。對此，我們也沒有太多可說的。我們相信我們的球員，我們相信阿德是負責任的，我們希望他自己照顧好自己。」

　　無論聖保羅如何為阿德開脫，都無法掩蓋他回到巴西之後依然隨意的生活，連續沉醉於美酒派對，在夜店內和金發美女親吻，公路交通事故，對於阿德來說，現在的生活方式並沒有向他當初承諾的那樣「悔改」，雖然現在是假期，但是對於職業球員來說，尤其是阿德這樣期待涅磐的人來說，現在的生活方式似乎不會給他帶來涅磐的能量。

　　新浪體育訊　從國米租借到聖保羅的阿德里亞諾最近剛剛復甦，在球場找到進球的感覺，但是也許過一段時間他又要暫時和球場說再見了，這位曾經的國米國王因為在比賽中用頭部撞擊對手，將面臨禁賽處罰。

　　聖保羅在一場聖保羅州足球賽中4-2擊敗了對手，但是在比賽中阿德卻和對方球員發生了衝突，最後他用齊達內流派的招數給了對手一個「下馬威」，當然結果也給自己帶來了不少的麻煩，公平競賽委員會表示將在下週一公佈阿德里亞諾的禁賽結果，這次禁賽可能長達120-540天。不過對於聖保羅和阿德來說，值得慶幸的是這次的禁賽僅限於聖保羅州的錦標賽，不會影響到南美解放者杯。

　　不過對於這次事件，阿德在接受媒體採訪的時候卻大吐苦水，阿德否認曾經使用了暴力：「我不知道裁判到底看到了什麼，當時多明戈(撞擊對象)用手摀住了我的臉，而我唯一做的事情只是問他到底想幹什麼。」

　　雖然阿德自己不承認，聖保羅的教練卻表示這次事件的真實性：「阿德里亞諾犯了錯誤，他確實不應該做這樣的事情，幸虧他沒有擊中對方的要害，要不然將是一次醜陋而危險的行為。」

Sao Paolo May Sack Adriano

Adriano's problems continue, as Sao Paolo admit that they could terminate the on-loan Inter striker's contract.

'The Emperor' started his Brazilian sojourn promisingly enough, but the negative publicity he garnered for headbutting a rival Santos player earlier this month, has been compounded by more childish behaviour from the big man.

Just on Friday, he strolled into training late, only to leave early and, while doing so, threaten to get physical with a cameraman.  

Needless to say, his adopted club are none to happy about the whole episode.

“We have fined him 40 per cent of the monthly wages he receives from us,” explained Vice-President Carlos Augusto Barros Sulva.

“If he does not accept this punishment, then he will leave here.”

“The club can terminate its contract with Adriano,” confirmed director Marco Aurelio Cunha.

“Punishments and fines don’t have any effect on him, we need to establish rules and find the right compromise. If it does not happen, it is best we go our separate ways.”

The 25-year-old was once the most feared striker in Serie A, but has seen his star fall dramatically over the last two seasons after battling alcohol and fitness problems.
