Bacary Sagna is rested, so Justin Hoyte is likely to play in Arsenal's defence.

Robin van Persie is still out, but Emmanuel Eboue is back in the squad and Theo Walcott may return after flu.

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has more injury worries, with Nolberto Solano (hamstring), Scott Parker (knee) and Freddie Ljungberg (hamstring) doubtful.

Craig Bellamy, Kieron Dyer and Bobby Zamora are out and the game is likely to come too soon for Julien Faubert, Matthew Etherington and Lee Bowyer.

Manchester United hope Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick will shake off illness in time to face Birmingham after they missed the defeat to West Ham.

Edwin van der Sar (groin) is still out, while Anderson could earn a recall.

Birmingham skipper Damien Johnson is a fitness doubt after suffering a jaw injury during the draw with Fulham.

Mehdi Nafti stands by to replace him, while Johan Djourou is available for the last time before returning to Arsenal after a loan spell.

Defender Moritz Volz returns from a one-match suspension but winger Hameur Bouazza is suspended.

Chelsea will have Ashley Cole available after suspension but Ricardo Carvalho is still banned and Andriy Shevchenko (leg) is set to miss out again.

John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Claude Makelele, Florent Malouda, Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini are all still out.

Avram Grant makes just one change from the side that beat Newcastle - Steve Sidwell coming into midfield in place John Mikel Obi.

There is no Andriy Shevchenko again so Salomon Kalou once more leads the attack. In the absence of both Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini, 17-year-old Rhys Taylor is again Hilario's back up on the bench.

Roy Hodgson's first Craven Cottage selection sees two changes included an enforced one with Moritz Volz in for suspended Hameur Bouazza. Domansy Kamara comes in up front for David Healy.

Chelsea are expected to line up in a 4-3-3 formation as follows:
