炒 貴 曼 聯 波 衫 遭 索 償
英 運 動 店 每 件 賠 20 鎊

英 國 最 大 型 運 動 服 裝 連 鎖 店 JJB Sports ， 被 控 聯 同 製 造 商 操 控 英 格 蘭 和 曼 聯 波 衫 價 格 罪 成 後 ， 英 國 維 護 消 費 者 權 益 組 織 「 Which? 」 早 前 聯 同 受 影 響 人 士 ， 入 稟 法 院 索 償 。 JJB Sports 現 已 同 意 向 買 下 被 抬 高 了 價 錢 之 波 衫 的 消 費 者 ， 退 還 5 至 20 鎊 （ 76 至 306 港 元 ） 。

包 括 英 格 蘭 曼 聯 球 衣

被 抬 高 價 格 的 波 衫 ， 包 括 2000 年 英 格 蘭 出 戰 歐 洲 國 家 盃 的 隊 衣 ， 及 在 2000 年 、 2001 年 出 售 的 兩 款 曼 聯 球 衣 ， 售 價 約 39.99 鎊 （ 613 港 元 ） 。 案 情 指 出 ， JJB Sports 、 曼 聯 、 足 球 服 裝 生 產 商 Umbro 、 足 總 等 七 間 公 司 ， 夥 同 生 產 商 非 法 在 幕 後 操 控 波 衫 價 格 。 這 些 公 司 於 2003 年 被 判 罪 名 成 立 ， 罰 款 1,600 萬 鎊 （ 2.4 億 港 元 ） 。
JJB Sports 不 服 判 決 上 訴 ， 但 遭 駁 回 。 「 Which? 」 於 是 入 稟 法 院 ， 向 JJB Sports 提 出 集 體 索 償 ， 召 集 所 有 買 過 涉 案 波 衫 的 人 士 加 入 ， 結 果 有 600 人 響 應 呼 籲 ， 他 們 共 買 了 約 1,000 件 被 抬 價 的 波 衫 。 較 早 前 JJB Sports 同 意 庭 外 和 解 ， 並 擬 定 賠 償 協 議 。
根 據 賠 償 協 議 ， 有 份 提 出 集 體 訴 訟 的 人 士 ， 他 們 所 買 的 球 衣 每 件 可 獲 賠 20 鎊 （ 306 港 元 ） 。 沒 有 參 加 訴 訟 ， 但 買 了 這 些 球 衣 的 人 ， 只 要 出 示 波 衫 及 填 妥 表 格 ， 也 可 獲 退 還 最 少 5 鎊 （ 76 港 元 ） ， 索 償 期 限 至 2009 年 2 月 5 日 。 「 Which? 」 指 出 這 是 消 費 者 的 勝 利 ， 更 呼 籲 消 費 者 要 為 自 己 取 回 公 道 。

from my experience, the original price of shirt in UK was 39.99GBP during 1997, i do not think 39.99GBP was suddenly increased in 2000/01 wor.....  

moreover, the seller did not hold the gun to push the buyers to buy, they have choice, they can refuse to buy.....  

i think it is crazy judgement lor.....

this is the normal economic theory.....  

supply and demand.....  

when the supply is fixed and the demand increase, the price was raised.....

obviously this is a political decision made by the government to prevent the abuse market power and form of monopoly in the market....

then this case can be used as a precedent, and hong kong customers can claim adidas/nike for their marking price at $459/$479 and ask for refund.....

if you consider this:
british ppl are stupid and extreme...

the orange selling example is not a good one in this case.
see this example:
there is only 1 electricity supplier on hong kong island. if they raise the electricity price 10 times today, consumers like us will definitely be mad and complain to the governement and then u will get ur refund if you have paid 10x the price u used to pay.

another example:
20 years ago, there was only one home phone service provider, everytime they raise the price, ppl will all mad and protest. but nowdays, if one phone company raise its price, ppl will move to other companies. this is the real demand and supply.




in the case of manchester united jerseys... if you consider the fact that SOCCER/FOOTBALL SHIRTS are NECESSARIES in all die hard MUFC fans' lives, then their argument about UMBRO and the club were overpricing the shirts would be valid.
with the another fact that british ppl are die hard silly and extreme, you will fine this case seems reasonable.
