if you consider this:
british ppl are stupid and extreme...
the orange selling example is not a good one in this case.
see this example:
there is only 1 electricity supplier on hong kong island. if they raise the electricity price 10 times today, consumers like us will definitely be mad and complain to the governement and then u will get ur refund if you have paid 10x the price u used to pay.
another example:
20 years ago, there was only one home phone service provider, everytime they raise the price, ppl will all mad and protest. but nowdays, if one phone company raise its price, ppl will move to other companies. this is the real demand and supply.
in the case of manchester united jerseys... if you consider the fact that SOCCER/FOOTBALL SHIRTS are NECESSARIES in all die hard MUFC fans' lives, then their argument about UMBRO and the club were overpricing the shirts would be valid.
with the another fact that british ppl are die hard silly and extreme, you will fine this case seems reasonable.
