We're thrilled to finally be able to announce the details of the new draft system, set to go into effect this weekend when you can start ordering players for the season 4 draft. As before, you have been scouting players each week, and of the 48 players available you will scout each either once or twice (you can no longer scout a player three times).
Scouting a player once means that you send your scouts to watch them play a game. Your scouts will tell you what position they played, provide their box score, and also grade their skill with a rating from 1 to 5. The box score does carry a lot of information to help you evaluate the player, but be careful because it's only one game. When you scout a player a second time, you invite them to a private training session, where your scouting staff will evaluate their potential with a rating from 1 to 5 as well as provide a letter grade rating for their overall skill.
Potential? Oh, right, I guess I should mention something about that as well. Each player will now have a potential rating, ranging from "bench warmer" to "all-time great". Sadly, there are a lot more players whose career will peak at "bench warmer" than at "all-time great", but we can all dream, right? Potential acts as a soft cap on player skill. When the player's skills reach the maximum their potential will allow, their training will slow down considerably, but will not become zero, so you can still train that favorite player of yours and prove your scouts wrong(玩野? )
All existing players will be given a potential rating of "all-star". This is in the middle of the list of potentials, but puts them in the top 20% of all draftees.
