Would seem that Steaua's chairman Gigi Becali has considered Mirel Radoi requests: the player wanted to Inter transfer for one year on loan. His friend of the Italian team has declared:"Radoi will transfer on loan for two million". During last days has been spoken about a request of 14,5 millions. The feeling is that nothing will happen before the last August days.

Ranieri annoyed Mourinho yesterday with his response to the Bianconeri’s defeat against Hamburg.

“Unlike Mourinho I don’t need to win to be sure about what I am doing,” Ranieri stated.

“I can take a defeat because last year we lost a few and we always managed to react.”

And today Mourinho has issued his own rebuke with a sniping attack on Ranieri.

“Ranieri was right, I do need to win things to be sure of what I am doing,” the Portuguese boss said.

“That’s why I have won so many trophies in my career.

By contrast he has the mentality that winning isn’t crucial and at nearly 70-years-old he has just won a Super Cup and other small tournaments. He is too old to change his mentality.”

Manninger joins Juventus

Austrian international goalkeeper Alex Manninger has signed for Juventus and is relishing the chance to play understudy to Gigi Buffon.

Manninger spent last season on loan to Siena from Red Bull Salzburg and impressed in Tuscany.

The 31-year-old has now joined Juve in London and is ready to give his all to the Bianconeri cause.

“I am very happy to have arrived at Juventus,” Manninger said. “Here football really counts.

“I have gained a lot of experience playing for smaller sides but I was at Arsenal a few years ago and I wanted to return to a big club at the highest level.”

Manninger is unlikely to be called into action on many occasions with Azzurri No 1 Buffon holding the gloves.

“We all know Buffon’s ability and his role in this squad,” he continued. “Only one goalkeeper can play at a time but in a squad of 25 there must be more than one custodian and we have three.

“I’m ready to give as much of a contribution as I can make to this team.”
