JUVENTUS
Buffon: 6 – Barely had a save to make all game, but his positioning, alertness and organisation was good as usual.
Grygera: 6.5 – Sound performance from Grygera, who helped keep Di Natale quiet. Missed a good chance on 65 minutes though.
Chiellini: 7 – Returning following a spell on the sidelines, and how much stronger Juve look with him in the team. Had Quagliarella in his pocket all night.
Mellberg: 6 – A sound display by Mellberg generally, but he made a big error at the end when Floro Flores raced through, which could have proved costly. Needs to cut out the mistakes.

De Ceglie: 7 – Came in for the much-criticised Molinaro, and many would say he should keep his place. Certainly has the potential to be the future left back of the Azzurri.

Camoranesi: 8 – Outstanding as he almost always is in a Juve shirt these days. Created numerous chances for his team-mates, and started the move for Amauri's goal.

Poulsen: 7 – Formed a really solid partnership with Sissoko. A better footballer than often given credit for, Poulsen rattled the crossbar with a thunderous long-shot.
Sissoko: 8 – A colossus in the middle-of-the-park. Sissoko made the highly talented Inler look very ordinary. All-action performance from Sissoko, who was also involved in the goal.
Nedved: 6.5 – A busy performance from Nedved, who belied his years tonight with his non-stop running. Still some gas left in the tank of the 36-year-old.
Iaquinta: 6 – A real workhorse up-front - just how Iaquinta failed to score tonight is a mystery. Had one effort disallowed, headed inches wide, and squandered countless decent chances.
Amauri: 7 – Can be frustrating at times, but Amauri was the difference between the sides with his well-taken goal. Also hit the post in the first half with his header.

UDINESE
Handanovic: 7 – Made a string of saves to keep Udinese in the game, and was very brave at times too. Could do nothing on Amauri's winner.
Ferronetti: 6 – A valiant display from Ferronetti, but he was caused problems at times by Iaquinta and Amauri's strength.
Coda: 7 – Udinese's standout defender. Coda made a crucial challenge to stop Iaquinta scoring in the first half, and he also prevented a possible goal with a block on Chiellini's header.
Lukovic: 6 – Stood firm with Coda and Ferronetti for 67 minutes, but eventually couldn't hold out for the entire game as Amauri found a way through.
Pasquale: 5.5 – Committed as always on the left, but struggled at times against Camoranesi, even if this is nothing to be ashamed of given the winger's current form.
Motta: 6 - Relatively sound on the right was the Italy Under-21 star, but he was unable to go forward much due to Udinese being on the back foot for most of the game.
D’Agostino: 6 – The odd beautiful long range pass, including one brilliant one to Quagliarella, but ultimately gained no foothold in the game due to Poulsen and Sissoko's dominance.
Inler: 5 – An excellent talent, who has been attracting the interest of half of Europe, most notably Arsenal, who bid for him this summer. However, tonight he was barely visible and was overun by the Juve midfield.
Pepe: 6 – Battled gamely up front without much success, and was never shy to try his luck with a number of long shots, including one in the second half that deflected just wide.
Quagliarella: 5.5 – A disappointment up-front was Quagliarella, who was second best against Chiellini for the whole 90 minutes. Has to do better if he wants to get back into the Azzurri set-up.
Di Natale: 6 – Has had a superb start to the new seasons for club-and-country, but was never offered a chance to get into the game tonight. Made little impact and was subbed on 57 minutes for Alexis Sanchez.
