Felipe Mattioni is a 20-year-old right-back who has been linked with a move to the Italian Serie A for the large part of the season.
He is a phenomenal young talent, who is tipped to become the next Maicon due to his pace, strength and skill, as well as his defending and attacking prowess.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have reached an agreement with Gremio for the player, which will see him remain in Milan for the next four seasons.
The player himself stands 177cm tall and weighs 72kg, and can play in the midfield as well as at the back. He has made 19 appearances for Gremio this term, and after it was announced that he has officially signed for Milan, his agent confirmed the following:
“Felipe is already in Italy and tomorrow he will undertake a medical in Milan.
“He has signed a contract for four and a half years and he can commence playing immediately,” as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The signing of the defender will cost the Milanese club around €6 million, and he will be a great addition to their defensive ranks, as that is an area in which creativity and pace is lacking.
An official of the Italian club has commented on the signing of the player, by declaring that “Mattioni is a world class player, and he is certainly ready for the big stage that European football is.”
The player has been strongly linked to Juventus and Inter over time; however the Rossoneri are the victors in the race for this up and coming star of the future.
