Dear friends ...
First of all this note is my explanation about the game and NOT AN APOLOGY !!!
For all the support, I really thank you so much n cannot be happier about it, but of course there are few who have high expectation for Hong Kong Team performance to be always "perfect".
To the point of the "huge curiosity" why I substitute Cordeiro ... hmmmm ... this answer is specially for my friend whose name Kinhang Gonzalez lee for his judgmental message, it was a strange action if you have no idea what happened with Cristiano Cordeiro, he has backache and for these two days he has been under pain killer injection for his backache, and today he (himself) asked me for being substituted because the effect of the pain killer injection started to disappear and he couldn't stand the extreme pain he's got. He gave his maximum 50 min, and I respect that so much. I am not a SUPER COACH who likes to experiment with my team, I always will put as best line up as possible, and I will never risk my team to make some experiment, especially when we play away. The vice-captain Poon Yiu Cheuk was also injured and he couldn't make it because of the pain on his leg.
For my players missing so many chances to score even I ... am speechless ... I don't know anymore what to do and what to say ... speechless ...
We have only 20-25 players to whom we count on and for this moment we have only 18 players, the injury is our problem right now. We are young and unexperienced team who need minimum 2 years to play together. Playing beautiful football is trained in 2-3 years and not in 2-3 months, I did what I know and I did it the best I can. To build something good cannot in instantly, we need time.
I feel sorry for those who judge us for our first defeat ... Lack of spirit today ??? I DON'T THINK SO, MY FRIEND !!! Running and playing here in front of crazy supporter with big pressure to the referee n our players, I need to applaud them once again !!! With the big machine gun surrounding our hotel, with the shooting incident near to our hotel last night (who knows if the players could sleep well last night), with the armed soldiers around us all the time .... and you say "lack of spirit"???? COME ON ... !!! These boys entered the dangerous zone without complaining anything for whom, for HONG KONG !!! Salute them !!!
1 mistake, 1 goal ... I know ... what can I say or do about it??? "........." EXACTLY ! NOTHING!!!
We gave the best we can today with the players we've got ... I realize this is not gonna be our first defeat, there will be another slips for sure ... I have never promised a tale story but I'll give all I've got to make HK team a better team. My heart was crying, realizing that we could've brought at least a point for you guys, but again I believe that GOD said "Not today, Dejan ... "
Thank you to all my players for their effort in performance today, I respect every drop of their sweat for Hong Kong !!! THANK YOU GUYS !!! |
