Top form South China ready to crush VB
South China coach Kim says they are ready for a tough battle against VB
Male', MALDIVES - South China coach Kim Pan-gon believes that his team is ready for the fight against VB Sports in the AFC Cup clash tomorrow evening. According to foreign soccer analysts, South China is the strongest team in the group and coach Kim Pan-gon also agreed that the team has been much stronger than last year.
“The team has changed a lot compared to last year. We have three very good foreign players and the locals are also much better. In fact I am also new to the Club”
Coach reiterated his confidence of his players ahead of the game and said they will do everything to get maximum points from the game.
“It is always difficult to play in the away game. But we are ready to fight and we would try to get maximum points from the game. As far as I know, we have lost a game in here last year. We want to overcome that”
Kim also highlighted that the weather in the Maldives would not be a major problem for the players.
“It would not be a major problem for us. The weather in Hong Kong during the summer is almost the same as in here. So I don’t think it would be a huge factor.”
Meanwhile, South China’s Brazilian striker Talas Schutz said that even though it would be a hard game, they would want to get the three points.
“We respect the opposition and we know it would be a hard game for us. But we want to get the three points in here”

Their second Brazilian striker, Carlos Eduardo Ferrari, Hong Kong’s Chan Siu Ki and Captain Li Haiqiang scored the three goals. Except four players, the team lineup has changed compared to the team which played last year against Victory Sports Club.
