Toure - Positive vibes saved us in shoot-out

Kolo Toure has revealed how Eduardo turned a negative into a positive to help keep Arsenal's Champions League dreams alive.
The Croatian striker missed the opening kick of Wednesday's nail-biting penalty shoot-out against Roma in the Stadio Olimpico. But instead of dwelling on his miss, Eduardo rejoined his Arsenal team-mates and made sure they stayed in a positive frame of mind.
"I definitely felt for Eduardo," said Toure. "When he came back he just said ‘Kolo, we’re going to win,’ and I said ‘Yeah, I believe in that.'
“He’s an amazing, fantastic player, he came back really well and helped the team to go forward.”
Eduardo's words of encouragement certainly helped. Arsenal did not miss another penalty and booked their place in the Quarter-Finals when Max Tonetto blazed his effort over the crossbar. Toure was in the thick of the celebrations just minutes after one of the most significant kicks of his career.
"I was the sixth [one] to take the penalty and I had to take a decision and I took it and I was really happy," reflected Toure.
"But when you go there [on the spot] and the crowd are on you, you just need to stay calm and take your decision.
"It’s a long way to go, to think what you are going to do. But, at the end of the day, you just need to be calm, and that’s it.
"I think the character we have, we are really strong mentally we give everything right up until the end of the game and we came back with a win. It’s good mental power."
