Milan Draw Feels Like A Win For Juventus - Marco Marchionni
The midfielder saw his side's slim chances of second place slip away with the 1-1 draw at Milan; nevertheless, he is staying positive...
Juventus midfielder Marco Marchionni is happy with the draw against Milan, believing the result feels like a win - a statement which underlines the sheer scale of the Bianconeri's recent problems.
The Old Lady struggled to impose herself at San Siro and it was only thanks to some quick thinking from Vincenzo Iaquinta, who used his head in more ways than one, that a point was rescued.
Marchionni is delighted with the draw as he tries to move on from his side's negative period. Juve are still without a win in five, but the Italian is staying upbeat.
"We needed a result like this against a big team. We played an excellent game against a good Milan side," Marchionni told the club's official website.
"It's a draw which feels like a win, I would say that we are back."
Marchionni could and should have given his side the lead, but he took too long on the ball, and the chance fizzled out.
"It's a shame [I didn't score] as I controlled the ball well and didn't think [Mathieu] Flamini would block me," concluded the midfielder.
