Eugenio Fascetti: Ciro Ferrara’s Position At Juventus Is Illegal
Fascetti is adamant that, according to FIGC rules, Juve should not have appointed Ferrara as their boss.

New Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara points his side in the right direction as the beat Siena 3-0 in Tuscany
Juventus' hiring of Ciro Ferrara last week after dismissing Claudio Ranieri has been dubbed as illegal by television pundit Eugenio Fascetti.
Article 38 of the Italian Football Federation’s (FIGC) rules for the technical area states that a tactician cannot be registered by two clubs in the same season.
Ferrara already works as an assistant manager to Italy coach Marcello Lippi, on top of being in charge of the Bianconeri’s youth academy.
“Ferrara can’t manage Juve, the rules are clear,” the former Bari boss told alleniamo.blogspot.com.
“I said a while ago that any club should be free to put whoever they want on the bench, even a horse. In fact, rules don’t count.
“Why? Because they only do for amateur trainers, but for others there is always someone who steps in and makes it clear that certain people can’t be denied certain favours… The Coaches’ Association will obviously lodge a protest, but then will be forced to step aside.
“I have often fought this corner and was fined, like in 2001 for the scandalous [Roberto] Mancini case.”
Mancini was appointed as Fiorentina boss in 2001, despite still studying for his coaching badges, but was eventually allowed to stay in charge of the Gigliati.
