尤文圖斯傳統上的主場球衣是黑白直間衫及黑色短褲（但過去十年改為白色短褲），其實球隊最初是採用桃紅色為球衣顏色並加上一條黑色領帶，當決定向供應商提供球衣時，供應商誤意地將英格蘭球隊諾士郡寄給尤文圖斯，最後尤文圖斯「將錯就錯」採用黑白色直間為球衣顏色。

Originally, they played in pink shirts with a black tie, which only occurred due to the wrong shirts being sent to them, the father of one of the players made the earliest shirts, but continual washing faded the color so much that in 1903 the club sought to replace them
Juventus asked one of their team members, Englishman John Savage, if he had any contacts in England who could supply new shirts in a color that would better withstand the elements. He had a friend who lived in Nottingham, who being a Notts County supporter, shipped out the black and white striped shirts to Turin
