Report: Lazio Consider Return Of Pandev & Ledesma After Loss To Juventus
The duo may be given some playing time, despite their exploits over the summer...
Lazio are considering reinstating Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma to their squad after they were left short-handed against Juventus, according to Goal.com Italia.
Reportedly, coach Davide Ballardini and president Claudio Lotito recently discussed the issue and have not closed the door to the two players, who were branded "rebels" by Lotito in the summer because of their desire to leave the club.
Lazio were defeated 2-0 by Juventus this past weekend and were short of offensive options after injuries to Mauro Zarate and Tommaso Rocchi, and Pandev would have been a useful foil for lone striker Julio Cruz.
Ledesma is more likely to be convinced to rejoin the squad as Pandev and the club have clashed on numerous occasions over the past few months in the media.
Lazio may even be willing to offer Ledesma a contract renewal, along with Aleksandar Kolarov and Fernando Muslera.
Meanwhile, Pandev's deal expires in the summer of 2010 and he is likely to leave the club then, even if he does regain a place in the squad.
