Friendly: Lugano 3-3 Inter

[FOTO Saturday, 05 September 2009 19:57:54]

LUGANO - Marko Arnautovic impressed on his non-competitive debut as Inter drew 3-3 with Swiss outfit Lugano at the Stadio Cornaredo.

Fejzulahi latched on to Silvio's assist and shrugged off a challenge from Vieira before beating Toldo to give the hosts a 19th-minute lead. Inter were level in the 24th when Quaresma, who had earlier hit the post, dribbled two opponents before firing past Cordaz.

Materazzi was forced off with a muscular injury before the half-hour, with Mancini creating two good chances before the break.

Lugano restored their lead nine minutes after the restart when Da Silva nodded home a cross from the left. Inter equalised for the second time two minutes later, Vieira finding the target with a classy chip shot.

Simone Boldini's men retook the lead again on 69 minutes through Silvio, who tucked home after Toldo blocked Rocca's shot.

Lugano's substitute keeper Wuthrich kept out a fierce left-footed drive from Arnautovic, who later set up Mancini, only for the Brazilian to head over. Mancini made amends with fifteen minutes remaining with a curling free kick that flew round the wall and into the bottom corner.

Arnautovic went close to a late winner when his lob shot went over the crossbar.

Italians: 'Brit clubs steal players' Sunday 6 September, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Italian clubs claim the ban on Chelsea for poaching a teenager is just the tip of the iceberg and urge UEFA to stop the “robbery” of players from academies.

The Stamford Bridge side has been barred from making any purchases until January 2011 after they were found guilty of pushing Gael Kakuta to break his Lens contract.

This is a familiar issue for many Serie A sides, as Roma, Lazio and Parma were famously furious that homegrown talents like Davide Petrucci, Federico Macheda, Arturo Lupoli and Giuseppe Rossi were tempted to England before they could sign a professional contract.

“Luciano Spalletti rang up Sir Alex Ferguson and asked him to halt Petrucci’s transfer,” insisted Giallorossi director Bruno Conti (pictured).

“Ferguson replied he would do something, but we never heard from him again. United are still behaving this way, it’s not sport and Ferguson is not acting in a sportsmanlike manner.

“The law still allows clubs to do what they want, but Michel Platini is talking to our Federation to resolve the problem.”

Empoli were the most recent ‘victims’ of allegedly underhand tactics when they saw 16-year-old Alberto Massacci and 18-year-old Manuel Pucciarelli picked up by Manchester last month.

“We are not happy. Manchester United do this kind of thing a lot because they know our regulations in Italy, whereby we cannot put our youth players on lucrative contracts,” moaned Empoli director Giuseppe Vitale in the Mail on Sunday.

“They didn't speak to us about our players. It is not right and they know it is not right. Platini must change the law so that when a big club come in and try to rob - and that is the right word, rob - us of our players, they must pay us a decent amount of money.”

Reggina have not forgotten the loss of 15-year-old defender Vincenzo Camilleri to Chelsea, reportedly picked up from the training ground in a helicopter.

"I think FIFA and UEFA should always punish clubs like Chelsea who steal players from smaller clubs,” President Pasquale ‘Lillo’ Foti told the News of the World.

"In Chelsea's case, their arrogance is quite obvious. And with the Kakuta case I can easily see the same procedure which they used with us. Someone should stop Chelsea and all the clubs which follow the same strategy.

"Chelsea took away one of our best players, who had been at Reggina three seasons. They didn't care that Reggina spent money and time on Camilleri.

"They didn't give us anything back. It was a shame, a serious scandal when you think neither UEFA nor FIFA sanctioned Chelsea.

"I have to say in my experience in football most of these cases come from England. And the reason is pretty simple, a Premier League club can offer a professional contract to a young players one year before Italy can.

"It means that if the family agree to move abroad - in this case, to London - there is no chance for us to keep the players. But this is something which should be changed."

blame yourself.
There is no contract, at least in Florentina's case.

I dont think it is anything worse than Bosman.

The eng club are stealing sth that does not belong to you?

Very clever of you
The UEFA rule forbiddens contracting players before 17, so HOW CAN FIORENTINA BE BLAMED FOR SUCH CASE?
I think it's the sense of morality of the purchasing club that is to be blamed.
Just like adopting an intelligent orphan, bringing him up to 16 years old, and then some rich bastard sees that he is a genius and then lures him away from you to be his adopted son, saying that you do not have his birth certificate
Oh and yes, that sounds like Lu Bu

A.COLE EVRA點睇?

A.Cole
Top

What I mean is the Italian system, not just Fiorentina. The whole Italy is being 'robbed', empoli, lazio, roma, fiorentina.
If the UEFA rule forbiddens contracting players before 17, then there is no case Chelsea can be punished.
Even there is such a rule, France must have a system to 'protect' the clubs.
Our world is very fierce, if you dont protect yourself and leave yourself at the mercy of the others, I can only say 'Good Luck'.

What the English club have done may be morally objectionable but everyone likes free arbitrage. Free coupons, free meals, what ever.
If there is something on the ground that NO ONE can claim ownership, why cant I get it? It belongs to NO ONE.
To the end of the day the problem is that the Italians are not 'compensated' for the effort they have made.
But in all sense it is never a 'steal', you dont steal something that belongs to no one, legally.

BTW, what made LU BU was so 'evil' is that he killed the one who take care him, not because he changed his employer.
Changing employer for a better job or paid is a fundamental right or tell me you will never do this.
