Iceland holds on for 0-0 draw with Mexico

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (AP)—Goalkeeper Gunnleifur Gunnleifsson made threesaves in the final minutes as Iceland held on for a scoreless draw with Mexicoscoreless in an international friendly on Wednesday.
Gunnleifsson’s final save was a header by Mexico forward Miguel Sabah withseconds left in the third match of Mexico’s U.S. friendly tour. More than 60,000fans were on hand.

            “I didn’t like not winning,” Mexico coach Javier Aguirre said through aninterpreter. “I said before I didn’t care about winning or not winning … buta goal would have been great.”
Mexico—which will open its World Cup against host South Africa on June 11— had won the first two games over Bolivia and New Zealand by a combined 7-0score.
Mexico had two good chances in the first half, its best coming when AdolfoBautista was set up for a header 10 meters out from the goal with 11 minutesremaining. His shot slid to the outside of the right post.
Iceland’s best opportunity came in the final minute of the first half, froma free kick by Jon Gudni Fjoluson from 20 meters out. Mexico keeper Luis Michelmade a diving save to deflect Fjoluson’s shot.
“Normally, my players play in Iceland in front of 1,000 people,” coachOlafur Johannesson said. “This was a very new experience for them. They’regoing to remember this the rest of their lives.”

Mexican teams authorized to play in Copa Libertadores, Copa America

MIAMI BEACH, Florida - CONCACAF authorized Mexican teams to continue playing in South America's Copa Libertadores, approving the arrangement Wednesday after a policy review regarding participation in CONMEBOL events.

The decision affirms that Mexican clubs will qualify for the Libertadores - South American's premier club tournament - based on existing principles.

In addition, CONCACAF announced that the Mexico's Olympic team supplemented by five "wild-card" players will compete in the 2011 Copa America, continuing El Tri's participation in the South American nations' championship for an eighth straight time.

‪"We are very pleased to have developed a system which recognizes and maintains the priority of CONCACAF competitions while ensuring Mexico's continued participation in the premier South American events," CONCACAF General Secretary Chuck Blazer said.

CONCACAF decided in June last year not to renew its four-year deal with the South American confederation for its teams to play in the second-tier Copa Sudamericana after the agreement expired.

Mexico has played in every Copa America since it first participated in 1993, finishing runner-up that year and again in 2001. It also finished third in 1997, 1999 and 2007.

Other than the five unrestricted players, the team to play in the Copa America in Argentina will be limited to those eligible for the 2012 London Olympics, born in 1989 or younger. It will be the same group eligible for the Pan American Games, set for October, 13-20, 2011, in Guadalajara, Mexico.

"We are honored to continue our long-standing participation in the Copa America," Mexican federation president Justino Compean said. "We also welcome the opportunity to develop the team that will represent us at the 2011 Pan American Games and 2012 Olympics by playing against South America's best teams."

2010世盃之前冇耐先至廿二歲嘅右腳前鋒
有d技術, 但主要賣埋門; 暫時似乎比當年成名於阿根廷的獨立隊的烏拉圭前鋒科蘭更唔適合被擺喺射手位以外嘅位置
1米70但幾頂得..假如覺得美洲對手制空力比較不足, 好吧, 佢為國跳贏頂入過新西蘭
我所見佢負責最後一腳或一頭都幾有說服力, 而我相信墨西哥人開始對佢係寄以厚望
喺瓜達拉哈拉出身上位成名早就唔係新聞; 暫時大國腳累積 4 caps 4 goals
工作證未批, 但冇問題呱

但係佢只係得4 caps會唔會唔係咁易得到工作證呀

你幾可見曼聯申請工作證有問題, 仲要有4 caps

(其實我覺得英超個工作證制度都幾明存實亡, 近年黎都唔係好覺有轉會因為工作證問題搞唔掂了)

塞爾維亞神童攻中 (咪又係好扭同嗜射) 拿積 (Adem Ljajić) 本來同索蘭.托錫打包去曼聯
但前者真係太後生, 原定遲後者一年轉會 (據聞期間佢不時去搵曼聯正規軍跟操)
不過最後都係衰搞唔掂工作證..現年只得18歲嘅拿積仲未成為大國腳
結果 "益咗" 科倫天拿, 今季季中起佢已經踢過幾場意甲

以我所知工作證就係英國制度...
會唔會只係足球員易d?
定所有行業都係咁?

之前維拉買古辛就工作證唔ok囉...
不過呢個真係睇球會...
大球會基本上都唔會有問題

佢工作證之前就好似好硬性要75%國家隊上陣?
但近年好似我聽就變左要出名..有名聲就得...
咁大球會想買佢...佢咪有名聲囉...
小球會想買既...就無名聲啦....
