Raul, who scored 323 goals in 740 games for Real and 44 goals in 102 games for Spain, confirmed his wish to experience a new challenge but hinted that he will return to Madrid in another capacity once his playing career is over.

"This is my last chance to experience a foreign league," he said. "I am 33 and wanted to experience new training techniques and a new language and culture for my family."

Raul will be succeeded by Iker Casillas as club captain.

意大利《全體育》報導，祖雲達斯已經擊敗了羅馬，正在和國際米蘭就阿根廷中衛貝迪素（Nicolas Burdisso）的轉會進行會談。

此前，上賽季租借到羅馬的貝迪素由於表現出色，羅馬已經決心將這位可以勝任中後衛和右後衛的阿根廷人正式收入帳中，但羅馬過低的轉會費最終讓他和國米的轉會無法達成一致。

雖然貝迪素希望能重新回到羅馬，但他的經理人Fernando Hidalgo還是對轉會老婦人的可能進行了保留。

他表示：“貝迪素已經表達了自己的意願，但這不取決於我們。”

“祖雲達斯的興趣？這是對我們的褒獎，我們這邊對轉會沒有任何問題。”

從Fernando Hidalgo的話看，問題仍然在於國際米蘭所希望得到的轉會費。

Pekerman, who was in charge of the senior Argentina side’s 2006 campaign in Germany where they reached the last eight, has also been linked to the Japan coaching job.

Catalan sports daily Sport claims that the Spain international agreed his contract should he leave the Gunners for the former European champions. It's been reported that the 23-year-old will sign a five-year deal and will receive €7 million per season.

However, Fabregas' current club Arsenal are yet to agree on a transfer fee with Barcelona. Manager Arsene Wenger is said to hold a meeting with the World Cup winner this week and a decision on the player's future will be decided after that. On Sunday, Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta was quoted as saying that he didn't expect his international teammate to move to Camp Nou.

Nevertheless, Barcelona are keen on signing Fabregas this summer and had already approached the former English champions earlier, only to be turned down.

無緣今屆世界盃 的荷蘭翼衛德倫特，驚爆將從皇馬轉投紅軍：「我很快會是利物浦球員，細節已差不多落實，現在最希望是迎接一個美好球季。」

這名被摩連奴 掛牌的球員，先後與多支意、西球會扯上關係，但勢想不到忽然轉投紅軍，早前有傳其身價達到600萬歐元，但荷蘭人並沒有透露其他交易詳情。

據知，皇馬於周三操練時，德倫特主動向教練摩連奴加操，但竟然遭到拒絕，更說：「全部人都回到更衣室吧，訓練已經結束。」雖然貴為前度歐青賽最佳球員，但德倫特加盟皇馬至今，從未獲得主力位置，更一度患上抑鬱症 ，看來紅軍會是解脫的好地方。

Newcastle United look to have won the race to sign defender Sol Campbell after the veteran arrived in the north east for a medical on Tuesday.

The former England international, 35, is out of contract after his deal with Arsenal ran out this summer.

The Gunners were reported to be keen to keep Campbell, while there was also interest from Sunderland and Celtic.

But Campbell looks to have plumped for a move to the Magpies as they prepare for their Premier League return.

Campbell could become Newcastle manager Chris Hughton's third summer signing following the arrivals of Dan Gosling and James Perch from Everton and Nottingham Forest respectively.

Hughton is keen to strengthen his defence as the club wait to discover the extent of Steven Taylor's shoulder injury.

Taylor is set to at least miss the start of the campaign, which Newcastle begin away to Manchester United on 16 August, but there are fears he could be sidelined for several months, prompting Hughton to make his move for Campbell.

Sunderland's interest in Campbell diminished in recent weeks after they signed former Magpies defender Titus Bramble from Wigan, while they are also expected to loan John Mensah for another season from Lyon.

Campbell has only recently returned from his honeymoon after being married in Northumberland earlier this month, after which he had indicated a decision on his future would be made public.

Meanwhile, former Newcastle and England forward Peter Beardsley has moved from his coaching role within the Magpies' academy to become reserve team coach, replacing Alan Thompson, who joined Celtic at the end of last season.

Former Newcastle winger Steve Stone will assist Beardsley.
