There are reports that Napoli have agreed to loan Benfica midfielder Hassan Yebda with an option to sign him next summer.
The 26-year-old Algerian played for Portsmouth last year and is looking for a new club amid fierce competition for places at Benfica.
Il Corriere dello Sport understands Yebda's loan will be free with a view to a permanent transfer worth €4.5m.
Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri had been in the market for a central midfielder to replace Luca Cigarini who joined Sevilla earlier this month.
Mazzarri also hopes to add Bayern Munich's Jose Sosa to his ranks.
Napoli have been in constant communication with the German outfit and it's thought that only a few details are missing before a transfer comes to fruition.
