"They played very well and we did not look easy on the pitch, we looked tentative, we didn't look like we could handle the conditions.
"I really thought we were bang in trouble so full credit to the lads for coming back.
"I wouldn't make excuses (about the artificial pitch).
"We trained on it yesterday (Monday) and I could tell by the way the players were looking that they were not comfortable at all with the pitch and I think we went out and played like that.
"Young Boys looked much more at home on the pitch, much more sure footed than we did and I felt we looked all over the place really.
"It is very difficult, we never play on astroturf, we never train on astroturf and it is a different surface to what we are used to but they knew how to play on it, they were very good."
