FA Cup - Evans: “If we go to Old Trafford - we will go there to win”
CRAWLEY Town are eagerly awaiting the 5th round draw of the FA Cup - and manager Steve Evans wants Manchester United in the next round.
In today’s News of the World, Evans said: “Who do I want in the next round? Everybody says Manchester United at Old Trafford nd that would be great, particularly as it would be me, a Celtc fan, against Alex Ferguson, a Rangers Man.”
And in the Mail on Sunday, he said: “Don’t worry, even if we go to Old Trafford in the fifth round, we’ll go there to win.”
Comedian Mark Watson, chairman of Respect FC, and former England defender Neil Ruddock, who appears in the latest Respect film, will make the draw at around 4.10pm, shortly after the final whistle in the Notts County v Manchester City Fourth Round tie on ITV1.
The Reds have hit all national newspapers’ headlines today after ceoming only the sixth non-league team since World War Two to make it to the fifth round.
A group celebration shot is on the front of the News of the World’s Score supplement with the headline ‘Lovely Tubbly’.
In the Mail on Sunday they were named Team of the Day and Matt Tubbs was named player of the day after his superb strike.
